Varsity Football Ties for League Championship - Wins 26-0 vs Norfolk

A convincing road victory for the Tigers earned them a share of the Prep League title for the first time since 2001.  A close game turned with less than two minutes remaining in the first half.  After Norfolk’s defense pushed Woodberry back 30 yards, Taylor Bryant fielded a bouncing long snap and punted 41 yards to pin Norfolk near the goal line.  A few plays later, a fumbled pitch led to an Aramide Olaniyan fumble recovery to put the Tigers just a quarterback sneak from their second touchdown.  Woodberry shined on both sides of the ball.  Clarke Todd, Alex Board, and Rob Belk all had interceptions; Ed Reynolds led the rushing attack with his third straight 100 yard game.
