Fir Tree Yearbook Wins First Place Award

The 2015 Fir Tree earned a first place award in the American Scholastic Press Association's annual yearbook competition. In its critique of Woodberry Forest School's annual, judges wrote, "Your yearbook shows excellence in the fields of writing, photography, and page design and contains elements and sections of an effective yearbook that will be treaured for years to come." The Fir Tree has been published yearly since 1911.


Congratulations to the students and faculty members who produced the volume, including Badham Dixon ’15, editor-in-chief; Joseph Baggett ’15, assistant editor-in-chief; Eduardo Corona ’15, senior editor; Richmond Adams ’16, junior editor; Andrew Garnett ’15, head photographer; Stephen Dowell, adviser; and Linda Hogan, photography coordinator.
