Student Gardeners Sow Seeds

Five students joined science teacher Jim Reid in the Manning Family Science Building's greenhouse on February 21, 2015, to plant seeds as a part of a vegetable garden initiative. With snow covering the ground outside, the seedlings will be raised inside the warm greenhouse. "We'll likely transplant them several times into larger pots until spring weather finally arrives," Jim said. The students will eventually plant the cherry tomatoes, peppers, and squash plants in a garden beyond the science facility's parking area.
