Headmaster Portrait Unveiled

A portrait of Dennis Campbell, Woodberry Forest School's eighth headmaster, was presented by the school's board of trustees on May 23, 2014. Created by John Howard Sanden, the portrait depicts the headmaster standing in the lobby of the Walker Building.

A well-known teacher of portrait art and the author of four books on the subject, John Howard Sanden has painted over five hundred portraits of America's education and industry leaders, including the official White House portraits of President George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush.

Woodberry Forest School plans to display the portrait of Dennis Campbell alongside those of the school's previous headmasters in its  new Math, Computer Science, and Dining facility after that building opens in 2015.
