Fifth Former is First Recipient of Watkins Scholarship

A scholarship to memorialize the late Lt. Colonel William R. Watkins III '84, who lost his life flying a combat mission in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003, has been awarded to Billy Osterman '14 of Quantico, Virginia. Billy is the son of a major general in the US Marine Corps. The Lt. Colonel William R. Watkins III '84 Scholarship was funded by Watkins's classmates in the Class of 1984 and other school graduates who are military veterans. It was established to enable boys from military families to attend Woodberry Forest School.
