Perrin Chiles '95 Screens Surfing Documentary

Emmy-award winning producer Perrin Chiles '95 has released a groundbreaking feature-length documentary about the evolution of indigenous surfing in Papua New Guinea. Twenty years after an Australian pilot left behind a surfboard in the seaside village on Vanimo, surfing has become a pillar of village life providing the only way for villagers to see the wider world. Splinters, produced by Perrin and directed by Adam Pesce, has been lauded at film festivals around the world.

The film will be screened this week in New York, February 3-9, 2012, at Cinema Village (22 East 12th St. New York, NY)

Perrin's past credits include Autism: The Musical.  He is currently working on 100 Years, selections from which were screened at Woodberry Forest School in February, 2010.
