Dr. Lee Burton Presents Functional Movement

Improving athletic performance is never far from the thoughts of student athletes and their coaches. That’s why Burton Lee was invited to speak at an assembly on Thursday evening, October 13, 2011. His topic was Functional Movement Systems, a program he helped develop and now implements in organizations ranging from professional athletic leagues to the U.S. military.
An engaging speaker, Dr. Burton, the director of athletic training at Averett University, shared information about the simple screening techniques and exercises he uses to prevent injury and improve performance.
