Game Recap
The JV baseball team began the season with a win against Fork Union. Highlights of the matchup include some solid pitching by Patrick McClain, who faced eight batters in the first two innings, striking out five with 38 pitches.
Offensively, the team was led by:
- Jackson Whitley who stroked a double to deep center field and a single later in the game, earning three RBIs.
- Hugh Mangum also hit three runners in with two singles in four plate appearances.
- Jack Carter had two RBIs with a double.
- Josiah Saran also had two RBIs with his single
