Game Recap

After the Cougars pounced on starting pitcher, Easton Tuck, the JV Tigers were down 0–4 after one inning. Good base running and timely hitting allowed us to respond with five runs in the top of the second.

Eric Fang came on in early relief, allowing only one run in the bottom of the second, leaving the game knotted at 5 after two.

Both teams locked in defenseless for a scoreless third.

In the top of the fourth, the Tigers plated a run but the Cougars answered with two in the bottom, leaving the Tigers down 6–7.

After a 6–8 loss to the Cougars on Tuesday, our JV squad was hungry and came out swinging in the top of the fifth. Our offense knocked out their second pitcher and we scored five runs to lead 11–7.

Eric Fang continued on the mound, throwing 85 pitches over four innings before Henry Sydnor came in to close the last two innings. At one point, the Cougars had the bases loaded with their second hitter up at the plate when Henry induced a pop foul. Josiah Saran popped up from behind the plate, sprinting toward the Cougar dugout and reached up to snag the last out of the inning.

Though the cougars plated one more run in the bottom of the seventh, the JV Tigers were victorious, departing Robins campus with an 11–8 victory.
