Indoor Track Finishes 2nd at First Meet of the Season

The winter track team competed in their first meet of the year today. The team finished second with the scores as follows: Louisa County 123, Woodberry Forest 89, Caroline 69, Spotswood 8, and William Monroe 2.

Of the 14 meet events the boys scored in all 14. The top 5 score in each individual event and the top 4 teams score in each of the relays.

Finishing in First Place:

The 4x400m relay team of Eli Exum, Eric Ways, Zach Wiesler and Jonathan Yellets.

Finishing in Second Place:

Mark Petrone in the shot put, Edward Bailey in the high jump, Addison Winston in the 1600m, Eric Ways in the 500m, Matthew Laws in the 1000m, and Jonathan Yellets in the 300m.

Finishing in Third Place:

Rue Hockensmith in the shot put, Ried Swearingen in the 55m hurdles, Matthew Laws in the 1600m, the 4x200m relay team of Hunter Faulconer, Jonathan Yellets, Jack Sewell, and Ried Swearingen, Eli Exum in the 500m, Zach Wiesler in the 300m.

Finishing in Fourth Place:

Ried Swearingen in the high jump, Issac Mirchandani in the pole vault, the 4x800m relay of Stuart Huston, Wilson Kuhnel, Charlie Moore, and Chris Wheelock, Michael Kelley in the 55m hurdles, Hunter Faulconer in the 55m dash, Chan Lee in the 500m, and Michael Kelley in the 300m.

Finishing in Fifth Place:

Will Borden in the shot put, Jack Sewell in the high jump, Joseph Seo in the pole vault, Issac Mirchandani in the long jump, Ben Pugh in the triple jump, Hagood Gratham in the 1600m and Chris Wheelock in the 1000m run.
