Swimming falls to Hargrave

On Friday, Woodberry Swimming lost 72-114 to a strong Hargrave squad.  Although it was a long day, the trip was worthwhile as 8 tigers posted best times.  Will Meese, Jack Joynson and Joe Keasler all had best times in the 200 free.  John Moore earned his first state cut of the season with a best time in the 50 free and Daniel Hughes lowered his 500 free time by nearly 3 seconds.  In the 100 back, Gavin Forrest picked up another state cut and teammates Will Meese and Pearce Mayer swam their best times.

The highlight of the day came in the air.  David Bethel and Jay Shelly both dove very well to take first and second place respectively.  David performed an excellent inward one and a half, probably his best dive of the year, to help him outscore Jay 136 to 129.
