Varsity golf loses tiebreaker; winning streak ends

The Varsity A golfers traveled to Richmond to play St. Christopher's at the tricky Willow Oaks CC. Battling high winds, firm greens, and history, the Tigers fought to a 155-155 tie. The tiebreaking fifth score went to the Saints.

James Doyle was the medalist, firing an impressive (+1) 37, followed closely by Hayes Corcell (38). Henry Cardwell and James Gavin both shot 40. Walker Shull (43) and Hudson Doyle (47) also participated.

With the varsity B group's win earlier against Trinity Christian, Woodberry ties the school's consecutive match-winning streak at 46.

Woodberry's record is now 6-1. Both varsity groups will be in action at home on Thursday vs. Covenant and Virginia Episcopal.
