Lieutenant (JG), United States Navy
I am currently a lieutenant junior grade in the surface warfare officer (SWO) community within the navy and will be promoted to the rank of lieutenant on 1 July 2011. I serve as the first lieutenant onboard the USS Paul Hamilton, an Arleigh Burke Class Destroyer stationed in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. As first lieutenant, I am directly responsible for all underway replenishments, aviation operations, anchorings and moorings, and all small boat operations.

I am currently finishing a seven-month deployment to the Arabian Gulf and
will be soon returning to wife and three kids in Pearl Harbor.
 
I look back fondly of my times at Woodberry as it is directly responsible for setting me off on the right foot and helping me to develop those crucial skills that were necessary to succeed at the university level and afterwards in the military.
