Silent Auction Guidelines
Tiger Ten Miler
Woodberry Forest School
The second annual Tiger Ten Miler is hosting a Silent Auction!
The Tiger Ten Miler is a 10 mile charity relay race, put on by WFS students. This year all proceeds will benefit ALS research in honor of long time coach and teacher Richard Glover.
Please look over the many fun and exciting items that have been donated to this effort by Woodberry families, alums and local businesses and bid generously!
The online portion of the auction will begin on Monday, May 10th at 8:00 a.m. and run until Friday, May 14th at 5:00 p.m. Participating is easy! Follow these simple steps to place your bid:
1. Read the enclosed descriptions. For pictures of selected items, check the “Silent Auction” news article at www.woodberry.org/news.
2. Each item features an item number and an opening bid amount. If you are the first person to bid on an item, please start by using the opening bid amount. If you are making a subsequent bid, please use the bidding increments specified in the description of the item. For example, for an item showing an opening bid of $20.00 with bidding increments of $5.00, please bid $25.00, $30.00 and so on.
3. To bid, email Kerri Collins at kerri_collins@woodberry.org with the following:
a. Item number
b. Bid amount
c. Your son’s student number
4. Check the Daily Announcements section of the website for the status of your bid. Please note that only high bids will be listed. Bids will be listed by your son’s student number.
5. “Buy It Now” – Some items will have a “buy it now” price. Please email Kerri Collins at kerri_collins@woodberry.org if you would like to purchase one of these items. Bidding will automatically cease and you will be declared the winner!
6. All items will be available for bidding at the Tiger Ten Miler event on May 16th, with the exception of items purchased using the “buy it now” price.
7. Winners will be announced at the race. If you are unable to attend the Tiger Ten Miler, you will receive an email from Kerri notifying you that you have won no later than Monday, May 17th. She will include payment instructions (checks only - made payable to Woodberry Forest School) and make any necessary arrangements for you to claim your item (i.e., ship item, pick up, etc.).
8. Happy bidding and Good Luck!
Thank you for your support!
