Reception for the Artist: The Very Rich Hours

The Baker Gallery at Woodberry Forest School is featuring The Very Rich Hours of William Van Doren: Recent Sunsets and Other Paintings, an exhibition of oil paintings by area artist William Van Doren. Currently in its ninth year, “The Very Rich Hours” is a series of paintings of each day's sunset that the artist began on January 1, 2006. In 2011, also at the Baker Gallery, he exhibited all 365 sunsets of the previous year in chronological order.

This new exhibit features larger canvases of some of the most recent sunsets, along with other works, and a mini-retrospective.
