We are delighted to announce that Aldo “Dodie” Chavez, Jr. , will come to Woodberry Forest School on July 1, 2012, as director of alumni relations. In this position, he will be responsible for all aspects of alumni programming and engagement, including reunions, regional associations, on-campus activities, and online alumni initiatives. He will also play a role in prospecting, cultivating, and soliciting alumni for annual and capital support.
Born in Bridgeport , Connecticut, Dodie moved to Westmoreland County, Virginia, when he was ten years old. He graduated from Woodberry Forest in 1985 and went on to Hampden-Sydney College. Dodie brings to Woodberry more than two decades of experience in sales, marketing, and customer service gained at Potomac Supply Corporation, a family-owned supplier of lumber to retailers in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast.
Dodie and his wife, Stacey, live in Charlottesville with their children, Teddy, 7, and Cate, 3. In his spare time, he enjoys golf, fishing, and spending time with his family.
We believe Dodie's entrepreneurial spirit and his focus on relationship-based partnerships and superior customer service will serve Woodberry well.
