Varsity Football Earns Prep League Title with Win Over St. Chris

The boys survived a tough first half challenge from the Saints from St. Christopher's school to earn their 4th consecutive Prep League Championship 31 - 16.

The offense was led by the rushing of Jeff Smith and Hunter Faulconer and the passing of Heys McMath. The offensive line played very well the entire game. The defense struggled in the first half to get critical stops on third down, but rallied in the second half to shutout the Saints until late in the fourth quarter.

The Tigers special teams came through again to help set up scores on the offense and control the field position for the defense. CJ Prosise had a big kick return set up the go ahead field goal from Mark Monroe just before the half. Rue Hockensmith's second half punt that was downed inside the 5 set up a score for the Tigers.

It was a team effort.
