Rapp House Dedicated on Woodberry Campus

An enthusiastic group of Woodberry alumni, faculty, and staff gathered on the Woodberry campus on September 18, 2010, to dedicate a new faculty home. The handsome brick dwelling is named in memory of Robert C. and Eunice Jerome Rapp and is a gift of their son, Bob Rapp ’44 of Greensboro, North Carolina.

Bob Rapp addressed assembled guests during the dedication ceremony, indicating a plaque placed near the front door of the house as he said, “My hope is that, maybe one of these days, someone will take a moment to read this plaque and say, ‘These must have been very special people.’”

Rapp House is located on the northwest side of campus with a breathtaking view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It features four bedrooms, four full bathrooms, and a walkout basement. The home is now occupied by English teacher and varsity golf coach Marc Hogan and his family.
