Original Titans Visit Woodberry

Five members of the football team made famous in the movie Remember the Titans came to Woodberry on October 30 and 31 to inspire the Tigers and to participate in several events. Their visit was made possible by Tommy Johnson '64.

Kerry Lundin, Reggie Watson, Daryl Stanton, Petey Jones, and Warren Robinson, all members of the 71 Original Titans Foundation, conducted a panel discussion for the student body. During the question-and-answer session, the teammates offered their perspectives on compelling scenes from the popular movie. After attending the Woodberry pep rally and leading students in a cheer, the Titans joined the varsity football team in the locker room and on the field for the coin toss before the St. Christopher's game. An autograph signing session and lunch preceded the Tigers victory. Concession sales during the game have been designated to benefit the Madison County Boys and Girls Club.
