Varsity Soccer Wins Against Reigning State Champ!

The young and improving Tigers won an important contest against the reigning state champion Flames of Eastern Mennonite on Palamar Field today by the score of 2-0.  After surviving a barrage of shots from Mennonite in the early portion of the first half, the Tigers began to cobble together their best performance of the year.  Bryson Mooring and Jason Hill scored individual goals in the 53rd and 61st minutes, and the solid defensive work of the team and some good goalkeeping from Wesley Bobbitt kept the Flames off the scoreboard.  It was the team's first win against Eastern Mennonite since 2003, and an encouraging sign of team growth.
