Varsity Soccer Falls to STAB

The Tigers showed great gains over their performance on Saturday, but fell to a determined St. Anne's-Belfield team 1-2 on Palamar Field.  The Saints opened the scoring on a great back post header in the 28th minute, but the Bryson Mooring had the response to that question, taking an intelligent cross field pass from Jason Hill and placing a perfectly measured shot past the onrushing goalkeeper in the 32nd.  It remained locked until the 75th minute when STAB was able to beat our defense to a ball at the top of the box and slot the game winner home.  The back four of Lee, MacDonald, Saunders and Apgar showed huge improvement over Saturday's match, and significant growth over the game itself.   Brian Pecheles and Chase Spong were again tireless in their runs up front, and Yonathan Tarekegne and Charles Ross were dangerous in their own right.
