Walker Antonio ’19 Debuts Ranked In Rows in Charleston

Emerging artist Walker Antonio ’19 made a striking debut at Stevenson & Co. Gallery in Charleston, South Carolina, with his inaugural solo exhibition, Ranked In Rows. The opening night drew a lively crowd, as seen in the birds-eye-view video shared on the gallery’s Instagram.

Gallery owner Peter Stevenson praised the young artist’s work, stating, “Despite his age, his paintings convey an emotional gravity and formal sophistication well beyond his years.”

In addition to his own painting, Walker currently serves as a Kenan-Lewis Fellow at Woodberry, where he shares his gift and teaches studio art in the Walker Fine Arts Building.
