My current rank is CPT (captain) and I am a Detachment Commander in 7th Special Forces Group. I graduated from WFS in '00 and was commisioned as an Infantry officer from the United States Military Academy. After completing Infantry Officer Basic Course and Ranger School at Ft. Benning, GA I was assigned to 1st Cavalry Division at Ft. Hood Texas. I deployed with 1st Cav to Iraq for 15 months where I was an Infantry Platoon Leader. Right when we returned from Iraq I was made the Battalion Mortar Platoon Leader and shortly after that attended Special Forces Assessment and Selection. After successfully making it through SFAS I attended the Maneuver Captains Career Course at Ft. Benning, GA. Once I completed MCCC, I began the Special Forces Qualification Course and earned the coveted Green Beret in April of 2010. I was immediately assigned to 7th Special Forces Group and was made a Detachment Commander. My team and I deployed to Afghanistan for 9 months, and have just recently returned.
