Frank Tallman '95 holds the Harry and William Frazier Chair, teaches history, and is assistant varsity soccer coach and Bengal lacrosse coach. He graduated from Vanderbilt University with a BA  and from Dartmouth College with an MALS. Before returning to Woodberry in 2004, he worked in real estate finance and taught at Christ School.  Mr. Tallman lives in the Caughron House with his wife, Tricia, a teacher at Grymes Memorial School in Orange, and their three children. 

Trevor Thornton ’04 returned to Woodberry Forest after more than a decade of teaching English in day and boarding schools. He holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a master’s degree from Middlebury College’s Bread Loaf School of English. From 2015 to 2020 he was an English teacher at the Breck School in Minneapolis. Mr. Thornton was previously chair of the English Department at Christ School in Asheville, NC, where he worked from 2008 to 2015. He served as a house parent at Christ School and has coached volleyball, wrestling, and lacrosse at his two prior schools. He has also published several fiction and non-fiction pieces in various magazines and journals. Mr. Thornton lives with his wife Aleisha and their two children in the '94 Duplex East.

 

Alex Tisch teaches physics and coaches varsity football and JV wrestling. He came to Woodberry in 2010 from St. Luke's School. Mr. Tisch graduated from Colby College with a major in physics, where he also played four years of varsity football. He also holds a masters in science education from Montana State University. Mr. Tisch, his wife Reanna, and their family live in River House.
