Forty-ninth Annual Sports Camp Underway

Nearly two hundred campers and dozens of counselors and staff members are on campus for the three-week Woodberry Forest Sports Camp, which got underway on June 19, 2016. Campers are divided into teams named for universities and cared for by counselors who are Tiger athletes and alums. Teams compete in tournaments throughout camp until the final champions in each sport are named.

Sports Camp days are filled with team practices and games in a wide variety of sports like flag football, soccer, lacrosse, volleyball, handball, floor hockey, and basketball; skill clinics in sports including swimming, golf, and tennis, wrestling, and track; team and camp meetings; and meals in the Terry Dining Hall. The boys get off campus each week for hiking treks and visits to theme parks.
