Varsity Golf battles wind - earns win for home opener
Battling windy conditions in their home opener, the Tigers bested their league rivals Tuesday 149-154. Woodberry's junior quartet of Johnny Kyger (Salisbury, NC), Chamberlain Hill (Middleburg), Jim Frazier (Burlington, NC), and Mills Gorrie (Birmingham, AL) led the way. With the victory, Woodberry improves to 2-1 overall and 2-0 in the Prep League. St. Chris falls to 2-1, 2-1. The Tigers next play St. Paul's (Baltimore) at home on Friday, April 11.
