Constitutional Law Students Tour Supreme Court

Dr. Matt Boesen and his ten Constitutional Law students visited the Supreme Court in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday, April 4, 2012, for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the building and an extended visit with the Clerk of the Court, General William Suter. Though the court was not in session, the students learned many details of its function during their time with General Suter, who runs the Supreme Court, and Judge Malcolm Howard, a US District Court Judge and a judge on the the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court. The highlight of the trip for the Woodberry Forest boys may have been the chance to see -- and shoot a few shots at -- the usually off-limits basketball court on the top floor of the building, known as the "highest court in the land."
