Varsity Football Defeats Norfolk Academy 40-15

Woodberry Forest 40, Norfolk Academy 15.

            Norfolk Academy and Woodberry Forest faced off today in breezy weather at Johnson Stadium. In the first quarter Woodberry Forest established a 12-0 lead, but Norfolk Academy struck back in the second quarter narrowing Woodberry’s lead to four. When Norfolk fumbled deep inside their territiory, Jason Luster recovered the football, and the Tigers took advantage of the fumble by scoring on the following play. Danny Martinez caught three touchdown passes in today’s game, and KG Gaskins scored two touchdowns on the ground. By winning today Woodberry Forest won the Prep League Championship. Next week Woodberry takes on their arch-rival Episcopal High School.
