Varsity Golf defeats previously undefeated Georgetown Prep

The Tigers bested the previously undefeated Little Hoyas in a close match Tuesday, 194-201, at Lakewood CC in Rockville, MD. The Rees Jones layout played extremely difficult because the recent rains allowed the rough to grow to maximum thickness. Senior captain Franklin Dolan and fifth former Johnny Kyger were co-medalists with rounds of 37 (+1). The match followed the IAC format--counting the five low scores out of a team of eight.

Woodberry Forest next plays St. Anne's Belfield at home next Friday, May 2.
