Golf Captures Invitational Title

With strong play on the back nine, Woodberry Forest rallied to win its eighth consecutive Woodberry Forest/Orange County HS Golf Invitational. On a cool, cloudy day, the Tigers were in third place, trailing Albemarle High School by nine shots and second place Western Albemarle by five. Led by co-captain Franklin Dolan's two-under 33, Woodberry stormed back to overtake both teams. Seniors Charlie Yates (37) and Curry Baker (36), and fourth former Jim Frazier (38) also contributed to the brilliant comeback. Dolan finished third overall, and joined Yates on the All-Tournament team.
