At our private boarding school for boys, we challenge every boy to meet high standards and act on moral beliefs and ethical values in service to others.
The honor system is Woodberry’s most sacred tradition, binding every student and faculty member together. Under the honor system, students complete their own work, respect what belongs to others, and tell the truth. Doing this every time, without fail, is not easy, but it gives students great freedom.
Moral integrity does not begin and end with the pledge not to lie, cheat, or steal. Woodberry instills in every boy a deep sense of empathy for others, an enduring self-confidence, and a genuine humility. Boys can best live a meaningful life if they work to act in service to others.
