Capitol Steps Entertain with Parody

Woodberry Forest School students enjoyed a performance by the Capitol Steps on September 15, 2016. The comedy ensemble brought a satirical look at political events and politicians to the Bowman Gray Auditorium, offering musical parodies that took aim at every party and opinion.

The Capitol Steps began in 1981 when some Senate staffers entertained their coworkers by creating a satirical version of the day's news stories. Since then, they have appeared widely on national media and recorded dozens of albums.

The performance was part of the Woodberry Forest Artist Series.
