WFSPN Presents State of the Forest

The Woodberry Forest School Production Network closed its inaugural year of programming on May 22, 2016, with a “State of the Forest” report from Headmaster Byron Hulsey ’86. Dr. Hulsey sat down for an interview with Gray Robertson ’16, one of the founders of WFSPN. You can view the interview at woodberrybroadcasting.com.

Gray and Dr. Hulsey discussed a variety of topics, including the new academic schedule to be launched during the 2016-17 school year.  They also talked about the Senior Distinction, an initiative launched this year to give select seniors an opportunity to pursue in-depth projects. Other topics included the new prefect board, which was named earlier this month, how the headmaster announces a free day, and the rookie season of the Woodberry Cup.

WFSPN launched this fall to provide live audio and video coverage athletic events and important community events. The student-run network produces several talk shows hosted by students and faculty. Gray, under whose leadership WFSPN has thrived, intends to study communications at the University of Alabama after he graduates from Woodberry this week.
