Firnew Farm Artists' Circle Shows in Baker Gallery

Now on display in Woodberry Forest's Baker Gallery is A View with a Room, an exhibit of painting and photography created by local artists. The Firnew Farm Artists’ Circle is a group of area painters and photographers who have been working together for more than fourteen years.

This year's exhibition title references E.M. Forster's A Room with a View, a novel about the experience of seeing the world through new eyes. "The view symbolizes all the possibilities, that anything can happen. However, it also makes one vulnerable. The room is a place of comfort and security; a place to withdraw. However, it can be a prison, too. One needs the other. There is beauty in both places: the going inward and the going outward."

For more information on the artists, visit the Firnew Farm Artists' Circle website.
