COST
Woodberry Forest Lacrosse Camp provides campers with rooms, meals, and facility use for the cost of $450.00. Campers must bring their own lacrosse equipment, cleats, and indoor sneakers for all sessions. Campers are encouraged to bring a blanket and room fan.

Discounts for multiple children enrolled from same family is $25 off for each additional child. There is also an early enrollement discount of $25 if you have all paperwork submitted by April 1. If you enroll in both basketball and lacrosse camp, each camp is $425 for a total of $850. A $100.00 deposit is due with the registration form.  Medical forms must be received by July 7. For campers unable to report to camp, tuition will be refunded, less a $50.00 administrative fee, as long as cancellation is made before July 1.

Enrollment is limited to ensure the optimum amount of instruction with a low player-to-coach ratio. Admission to camp will be in the order applications are received. All campers are expected to abide by the rules established and enforced by the camp staff. Woodberry Forest School operates under an honor system, and campers will be expected to act honorably and to conduct themselves with civility during their stay at camp. Any negligence towards these rules will result in dismissal without refund.

What to Bring:
  • Lacrosse stick and full equipment
  • Blanket, pillow and sheets for a twin bed
  • Cleats and Tennis shoes
  • Bathing Suit
  • Towels & washcloth (and toiletries)
  • Book for down time on dorm
  • Plenty of practice clothes – no laundry service is available during camp!


Brian Hemming, Director of Lacrosse Camp
Brian Hemming is the Head Varsity Lacrosse Coach at the Woodberry
Forest School and has extensive experience with the sport. During his
four years at Gettysburg College his team won two conference
championships and played in the NCAA tournament every year,
successfully making it to the NCAA semifinals three times. Coach
Hemming has also coached at Hampden-Sydney College (1999 NCAA
Tournament participants) and Lynchburg College (2003 ODAC
Champions, 2003 NCAA Tournament participants), as well as,
Washington D.C. and Virginia high schools. He has played and coached
at the highest level of lacrosse in Australia, and has coached numerous
All-Conference, All-State and All-American players at both the high
school and college level. Coach Hemming has experience working with
players of all ages and skill levels.

Camp Philosophy:
The purpose of the Woodberry Forest Lacrosse Camp is to develop the
individual skills of each player and to teach team concepts. The Camp is
designed for lacrosse players of all levels. The Woodberry Forest
Lacrosse Camp will make beginning players better and average players
great while emphasizing the fundamentals of the sport and a team-first
style of play.

Camp Features:
  • 3 sessions a day
