Christmas at the Forest Traditions Abound

The final week before boys departed for the Christmas holiday on December 17, 2016, was filled with memorable holiday traditions old and new, ranging from decorating the chapel to serving the less fortunate.

Boys started the week by using evergreens cut from campus to fashion natural decorations for the greening of St. Andrew's Chapel. Members of the Peer Leadership Council collected money from their groups, shopped for and wrapped gifts, and delivered a minivan full of presents to nearby families who qualify for public assistance. Intermediate Studio Art students cut original designs and handprinted holiday postcards to be mailed out. The community gathered for the moving Christmas Candlelight Service in St. Andrew's Chapel and enjoyed a festive Winter Instrumental Concert in Bowman Gray Auditorium.

All of us at Woodberry Forest wish you the best of the season!
