Photography Students Show Work

Students in Introduction to Photography are showing their trimester's body of work in the Upper Walker Gallery at Woodberry Forest School. The exhibition opens with a reception on December 7, 2016.

Sam Lowres ’17 studied the work of twentieth-century photographer Harry Callahan and imitated his use of shadow and reflection in his photographs of the interior of St. Andrew's Chapel and around campus.

Avery Warmack ’19 chose to learn more about the work of landscape photographer Ansel Adams. Avery's photographs relate to Adams's color work in their use of bursts of light behind landscape scenes.

A reception for the artists will be held on December 7, 2016, at 6:45 p.m. in the Upper Walker Gallery of the Walker Fine Arts Center. The reception is free, and the public is invited to attend.
