Photography Students Inspired by Master Photographers

A current photo exhibition in Woodberry Forest School's Lower Walker Gallery in the Walker Fine Arts Center shows the work of Jim King ’16 and Clay Tydings ’17. These Introduction to Photography students were challenged by their instructor, Richard Robinson, to learn advanced photographic concepts and techniques by taking their inspiration for a photographic series from important photographers they admire.

Clay photographed the snow-covered Rapidan River in the style of landscape photographer Ansel Adams, while Jim took stills from a video recording of motion in the style of Edweard Muybridge.

A reception for the artists will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2015, at 6:50 pm.
