Weekend Activities Cap Off Trimester

Preparing for exams was not the only item on the agenda during the trimester's final weekend.

Starting on Friday evening, November 14, 2014, several on-campus activities gave students chances to take a breather from study. The International Forum said goodbye to our South African students who will return home after exams; the three boys shared a slide show about their home country and schools at a dinner on Friday evening. Across campus in the Walker Fine Arts Center, girls arrived for a gathering of one of the Forest's newest clubs, Swing Dancing, while speech students entertained audiences with their final projects in the Bomb Shelter Experimental Theater.

Saturday meant a performance from the faculty band Poor Judgment and a pair of songs by a pair of Woodberry brothers at Informal Music Night. A game of Bingo followed, with dozens of prizes -- including the coveted Amazon gift card -- being awarded to lucky players.

And the weekend finished with a Sunday night turkey dinner prepared and served in the Reynolds Family Dining Room.
