Tigers Roar in Weekend Contests

Three varsity teams represented Woodberry Forest School well in special athletic events on April 11-12, 2014.

For the first time in the Gus Lacy Track Classic's fifteen-year history, the Tigers took first place. Both Michael Davenport and Brady Logan broke meet and school records. See the Track and Field blog for complete results.  

Golfers played against St. Paul's School in the twelfth annual Disharoon Cup, winning the match for the eighth time. The Disharoon Cup honors Mr. and Mrs. Leslie B. Disharoon whose personal generosity, devotion to education, and great fondness for the game of golf brought this event into being. Full results are available on the Golf blog.  

Tiger tennis players won second place in the Woodberry Forest Tennis Invitational, a tournament started by Chuck Straley, former math department chair, over forty years ago. Read the report from Coach Randy Hudgins ’71
