Red Barn Exhibition Opens

Though built for utility, the red barn that graced the south end of campus from 1905 until its demolition earlier this year did more than provide shelter for animals and equipment during its century of existence. Perhaps because of its location set apart from other structures, the barn evoked both the school's agricultural past and its remote, pastoral setting. It inspired the work of many painters and photographers, some of whose work is gathered in an exhibition of artwork showing a variety of interpretions of this appealing subject.
